Babul Bihari Viral scandal explained:
According to the police, 21-year-old Babul Bihari lived in Rajiv Nagar of Gurugram two years ago. He befriended a 13-year-old minor girl there. It is alleged that the accused took the minor to a hotel one day. He raped her in the hotel. During this, the Bhojpuri singer had also clicked an objectionable photo of the minor.
The girl who was a victim of rape had not told anyone about this whole incident. Now a few days ago the accused Singer shared offensive pictures of the girl on social media (Instagram). A senior police officer said that the accused had posted pictures of the minor on Instagram a few days back. After interrogating the victim, an FIR has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology (IT) Act at the Sector-14 police station, the police officer said.
Police spokesperson Subhash Boken said that on the basis of the FIR, the accused was arrested within a few hours. He was produced before a city court and sent to jail in judicial custody, they said.
