This man revolutionized American democracy so much that he is now immortalized on Mt. Rushmore as one of the four most significant presidents in American history.

In 1861, Abraham Lincoln was established as a President of the United States. After two years of constant toiling, he was finally able to establish The Emancipation Proclamation. Issued in 1863, this act declared that all slaves as free. This applied to the slaves in the Confederate territory. Thus, slavery was eradicated from America under the influence of a glorious leader.

It’s indisputable that President Lincoln left a heavy mark on those around him. So, even after his death and the subsequent end of his presidency, people still carried on his ideals. These ideals were later imprinted upon the mindset of the presidents that were yet to come.
Lincoln’s main focus was his commitment to equal rights and just laws that are fair to all regardless of race, caste, and creed. All humans would want to be treated equally, nonetheless.
